FAQ

Q: How much does the FireMaster System cost?

A: Each FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster System is custom designed to fit the customer’s needs. Each type of system has it’s own base price and additional features requested will determine the final cost. For more information please contact our sales reps at 1-866-901-CFPI (2374) toll free.

Q: How long does it take to install a system at my property or home?

A: The FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster System can be installed at an average home in approximately one to five days, depending on the complexity of the unique requirements of your property. The size of the property may also have an affect on the time required for installation. For instance, if you have a water source already, it would take less time for this part of the installation. We wouldn’t need to install a water source below or above the ground. We would be able to just tap into your current water source.

In addition, if you have multiple peaks and/or stories on your roof, or multiple structures, this would affect the time needed to install the system. Most systems can typically be installed with in a week.

Q: Will the foam stain or discolor my siding, concrete, windows, or harm my plants?

A: No. The foam solution that blankets your property will not stain or discolor anything, and is non-corrosive. It may leave only a slight “soapy film” when the foam solution has dried, which is easily rinsed off. Please see our slide show which shows a property being foamed by a FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster System and then the same landscape seven days later. Notice the flowers still blooming and the plants still have full color.

Q: Is the fire protection system visible on my property?

A: Your FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster base unit location is decided upon by you and the designer and looks similar in appearance to a head pump installed outside your home. The emitters which are installed in the vegetation and landscape areas are all underground where ever possible and operate similar to a pop-up sprinkler. These emitters can also be encompassed by other items such as solar lights or rocks, and creatures such as frogs, bears, flowers, etc… to help conceal an above-ground emitter until it is needed.

Some piping may be visible along the ridgeline of the roofs and under eaves. This piping comes in brown, gray, or white colors allowing it to blend into the roof line and seem unnoticeable from the ground. In addition depending on what emitters are chosen for your application, you may notice them on your roof. Some wiring may be installed on the exterior of your home to operate the fire detector. It will look similar to cable or phone wires. The fire detector can be installed as a wireless component if desired. Overall, the system is unnoticed until needed and then you will know it is working by the white foam covering your property.

Q: What if the power goes out at my property?

A: The FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster System operates under it’s own power. A solar charging system keeps your system ready to activate at any time. Once it activates it works under it’s own power. You will have no additional power costs to operate and maintain your system.

Q: How long does the foam concentrate last in the tank; does it go bad?

A: The shelf- life of the concentrate is 25 years with no loss of capabilities after repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Q: Does the FOAMSAFE™ Fire Alert System continue to work if the phone lines are down?

A: Yes, it continues to function normally, as does the entire system. The FOAMSAFE™ Fire Alert system uses cellular phone services to call you when your FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster System has activated, or when it detects a fire is approaching.

Q: Where does the water source come from?

A: The water source can be a pool, pond, spa, or other large reservoir located on your property. However, the water source must be available during fire season, at the least. In other words, if you have a river or other water source that is abundant in the winter, but dries up during late spring or summer you would not want to use this for your water source.

If no onsite water sources are available on site, a dedicated water storage tank will need to be installed along with the FOAMSAFE™ FireMaster System. This water storage tank can be installed above or below ground, and can be installed so it is aesthetically pleasing.

WE WILL NOT USE YOUR EXISTING WATER UTILITY TO OPERATE THE FOAMSAFE™ FIREMASTER SYSTEM.
